School Improvement Plan
Goal 1: Increase the number of students on-track for graduation by 10% in grades 10,11,and 12 while maintaining 70% on-track for 9th grade.
Goal 2: Increase ratings for “The atmosphere of this school is positive and staff members are proud of this school” by .5 points as measured by the climate survey.
Goal 3: Decrease the number of events of tardies and truancies by 5% as measured by attendance dashboard data
- Teachers will utilize grade-level appropriate tasks that incorporate higher levels of thinking as identified by Bloom’s taxonomy.
- Students will set weekly growth goals in Advisement (Bison Block) to measure progress and include their Bison Block teacher and parent in their communication.
- Maintain Sunshine Squad staff committee; add student committee to monitor and support climate.
- Maintain Principal and student round-table to provide stakeholders an opportunity to problem solve and provide feedback.
- Encourage staff attendance and participation in school events.
- Continue to enhance social media to share positives of school.
- Positively recognize students for attendance quarterly.
- Establish two laters of school attendance team to monitor progress and partner with families in problem-solving and connecting supports.
- Enhance instructional efficacy through goal 1 criteria Operation KYAC (keep your attendance clean).
- Monitoring hallways; systematize procedures around interventions for tardies and truancies.
