Dr. Carrie Carr has been with Buena Vista High School since 2021. She began her career in the Omaha Public Schools as a high school Spanish teacher before becoming a Dean of Students and later an Assistant Principal.  She most recently served as Principal of Norris Middle School.  Dr. Carr's core values are shared leadership, empathy, trust, and belief.  She is a bilingual educator who is proud to serve the South Omaha Community.

Mrs. Ann-Marie Walters

Mrs. Walters joins the Omaha Public Schools with experience in teaching, instructional coaching, and leadership.  Mrs. Walters began her career as a Science teacher and teacher leader before becoming a K-12 instructional coach.  She served as an assistant principal at San Ramon Valley High School in California before joining Buena Vista.  She serves as the assistant principal and data administrator at our school.

Mr. Matthew Koehler

Mr. Matthew Koehler

Mr. Koehler joins the Omaha Public Schools with experience in teaching, coaching and leadership.  Mr. Koehler began his career as an elementary teacher and coach in Palmer, Nebraska.  He coached volleyball, golf, and boys basketball.  He then became a K-12 principal and coach in Shickley before moving into the role of athletic director and assistant principal in Nebraska City.  Mr. Koehler serves as an assistant principal and athletic director at Buena Vista.

Mr. Curtis Weber

Mr. Weber serves Buena Vista High School as the Assistant Principal and Activities Director.  He began his career as a social studies teacher and basketball coach before moving into leadership.  He has previously served as a dean of students and athletics/activities director at McMillan Middle School.

Mrs. CK serves as Dean of Students at Buena Vista High School. She previously served as Magnet Coordinator/Instructional Facilitator at McMillan Middle School, OPS District Instructional Technology Coach, and an Instructional Coach at Wakonda Elementary. She began her career in education in 2010 as a 7th grade ELA teacher.

Mrs. Pitt serves Buena Vista School as a Dean of Students. She previously served as a Spanish Teacher and Admin Intern for Millard Public Schools. Mrs. Pitt's core values are supporting equitable learning environments, continuous improvement, and leading with vivid vision. She is a bilingual educator who is proud to serve in the South Omaha Community.

Mr. Matthews serves Buena Vista High School as a Dean of Students. He previously served as secondary math teacher at Norris Middle School, Nathan Hale Middle School, and North High all for the Omaha Public Schools. Taking part in both athletics and academics, he has been faithfully serving the Omaha Community since 2009.

Ms. Archie serves Buena Vista as Curriculum Specialist overseeing the areas of Math, Science, Music, and Drama. In addition, Ms. Archie supports our building in our on-site tutoring and through Title 1. She has previously served as a Math teacher and Math coach in the Omaha Public Schools.

Ms. Stephanie Jones serves as the Special Education Department Head for Buena Vista High School. She previously served as a special education teacher at Omaha Bryah High School. Ms. Jones oversees the Special Instruction Program and the Alternative Curriculum Program, in addition to supporting Unified Sports.

Ms. Weaver serves Buena Vista High School as a Curriculum Specialist, overseeing the areas of Art, PE, Human Growth and Development, JROTC, and Freshman Seminar as well as Freshman Academy Lead and credit recovery site-supervisor. Ms. Weaver previously served as an athletic trainer, teacher, Instructional Facilitator, and Dean at Northwest High School as well as Health Science teacher at the OPS Career Center.
